She was a guest artist on R&B veteran R. Kelly's tour and her own
headlining "Love and War" tour, commenced on May 16 in Miami,
Florida. "It is a dream come true and every time I walk on stage,
I think the best of it and I have a good time every time," she
said. "It was a really good experience opening up for R. Kelly."
Overjoyed, Braxton could not contain her excitement for her May 28 concert
in New York's Irving Plaza. "I finally get to do my own concert,
and have a good time. I am so excited about it," she said.
Her Love and War album, which she released on Streamline/Epic Records,
catapulted to No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart and the
iTunes R&B Albums charts, as well as No. 2 on the Billboard 200
all-genre charts, all of which were unexpected for Braxton. "Sometimes,
I can't wrap my head around what has happened to me in the past year,
and everybody loving and respecting my music is all that I could ever
ask for," she said.
