Chris Rene Drops New EP Today & Tweets Along Tomorrow

POSTED 09:54AM PST on 10/2/2012

Hey Renelians! There's a lot going on with Chris Rene this week. His new EP, I'm Right Here, is out TODAY via Syco/Epic Records, and he will be joining YOU for a tweet-along (#XFLiveTweet) during the East Coast broadcast of THE X FACTOR'S first Boot Camp episode on Wed Oct. 3 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.

His third single, the heartfelt "Rockin' With You," hits radio next week, and follows the hit that made him famous, his first single, "Young Homie," and his second single, the feel-good summer song, "Trouble."

"This song is about basically a guy kind of being mischievous and not being truthful at the beginning," Chris, Season 1's third place finalist, told us about "Rockin' With You." "But what it really comes down to is he wants to be passionate about one girl and to have that love in his life. It's all about her. He's only rocking with her. I think a lot of people are going to feel it."

Sample lyric: "I don't need a thousand girls/Just one woman who will rock my world." Awww. What a romantic!

The album, which includes co-writes by Chris, features such noted producers as Claude Kelly (Akon, Britney Spears, Bruno Mars), Chuck Harmony (Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Mary J. Blige), Supa Dups (Eminem, John Legend) Christian Rich (Pharrell, NERD, Lupe Fiasco), and Soulshock (Usher, Bruno Mars).

Chris will also be on the road, including an Oct. 18 performance at the famed Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles. He'll also appear on Anderson Live! on Oct. 8, The Ricki Lake Show sometime next week, and Good Day L.A. on Oct. 17. More tour dates and appearances will soon be announced.

I'm Right Here track listing:
1. "Chains"
2. "Rockin' With You"
3. "Back From the Dead"
4. "Trouble"
5. "Gonna Be Ok"
6. "Love Me Like You"
