Sick Puppies will play Wooly's on July 14 (Video)

Des Moines East Village venue Wooly's (504 East Locust Street) will host the Australian rock band Sick Puppies on Sunday, July 14. Opening the show will be IVA, Shatter, and Like Tides. Doors for the concert will open at 6 p.m., and the music will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 on the day of the concert. Tickets may be purchased at the Wooly's box office or online through Ticketfly. This concert is open to all ages.

Sick Puppies will hit Des Moines just two days before the release of their fourth studio album Connect. The band rose to prominence in 2006 when their song "All the Same" became a hit due to its video supporting the controversial Free Hugs Campaign. The song hit #6 on the Alternative chart and was the band's first big hit. The Sick Puppies have gone on to score six more Top 20 hits, including their latest single, "There's No Going Back" (the first release off of Connect). Check out an acoustic version of the song below.
