PENTATONIX TALK HOLIDAY ALBUM 'THAT'S CHRISTMAS TO ME' AND THEIR
CAMEO IN PITCH PERFECT 2 AS THEY PLAY A FESTIVE LUCKY DIP - EXCLUSIVE
ft. the world's greatest impression of Darth Vader singing 'Jingle Bells'
We don't know abut
you, but seeing as we've been blasting the Justin Bieber Christmas album
on repeat since mid July, we're in need of something a little different
now it's actually getting into the festive season.
Luckily, a Capella legends Pentatonix are here with their brand new
album, That's Christmas To Me, which mixes up a load of classics with
some of their own, original festive tracks.
If you haven't heard of this lot yet then a) WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? and
b) get on it, because ever since they won US talent show The Sing-Off,
they've been taking the world by storm, one stupidly edgy a Capella
cover of a chart hit at a time. Think Glee season 1 meets Mean Girls
- that's how rad they are.
Several albums later they're back with the holiday record, which we're
going to go ahead and say is pretty much the best thing that's happened
since some total hero went and invented the Yule Log. To celebrate all
this, we met up with the gang themselves - that's Avi, Kirstie, Scott,
Mitch and Kevin - for a chat about all the exciting Pentatonix plans
they've got hidden up the sleeves of their Christmas jumpers.
It's not all news about the festive tunes either as they've also gone
and landed a cameo in Pitch Perfect 2, so check out what they had to
say about all of that below.
Seeing as they are practically
bigger fans of the holidays than Santa himself, it seemed only right
to put all five of Pentatonix to the test and grill them about some
very serious festive stuff. Like what they'd get Justin Bieber for Christmas,
if they'd rather snog Miley or Harry Styles under the mistletoe, and
whether they prefer their Christmas tree big and bushy or neatly trimmed.
Oh, and then there was that
bit where we got them to do an impression of Darth Vader singing Jingle
What do you mean we were
being rude? The people really do need to know how they like their tree
Whadda ya make of all that?
Will you be checking out the Pentatonix Christmas album? It's out now,
so you probably should. We heard that every time you don't listen to
it, Rudolph cries.
