Pentatonix performed at the House of Blues Orlando in Downtown Disney on Nov. 28, 2012, to an almost, if not, sold out crowd. The line was longer than usual with faithful fans waiting to get inside and out of the chilly weather.

One year ago to the date of their performance at the No. 1 rated club (Billboard) in North America they had won Season 3 of NBC's "The Sing Off." Not only did the future of Pentatonix change that night but the music industry was about to see a whole new genre of a mainstream a cappella rock and pop.

The stage went dark and the fans erupted with excitement for the reality television winners, Pentatonix. Unlike most music groups that win contests on television--this group will not be forgotten. The quintet walked out onto the completely bare stage. There wasn't even a backdrop or props. However, that may have been a good thing for as it focused everybody's attention on the quintet. Performing top hits such as "Somebody I Used to Know" (Goyte) "Starships" (Nicki Minaj) and "Aha!" (Imogen Heap) which definitely showcased extraordinary technique. Their advantage over mainstream artists is that they consistently sing top hits that everybody knows one after another. When a fan hears their favorite tune at a concert they get more involved with the group. Pentatonix, on the other hand, the fans are in their groove for the entire show.

Vocals were top notch. There are no instruments even though it sounded like there were somewhere being played secretly. The tones were so exact that even the bass caused the entire venue to vibrate. That's a skill that not many can accomplish and those that can deserve to be heard and seen worldwide. These extremely talented quintet of singers surely boosted the future of a cappella and have the skills and abilities to prove that they are on the way to worldwide mainstream stardom of their genre.

Pentatonix released their Christmas EP, "PTXmas" on Nov. 12, 2012, which debuted at #1 on the iTunes Holiday albums, #8 season chart, #14 digital chart, and the top 50 on the Billboard 200 chart. Pentatonix will be performing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Dec. 14, 2012.
