Pentatonix makes stop in Dallas, Sept 2

Pentatonix, the season three winners of "The Sing Off” on NBC TV, are touring in support of their new chart-climbing EP on Madison Gate Records, PTX Volume 1. The a cappella singing group will appear at The Levitt in Arlington September 2, and at the House of Blues Cambridge Room in Dallas September 6.

Pairing their intricate arrangements with re-imagined pop songs, Pentatonix has cultivated a sound and style that is unique and infectious. All tickets to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO)’s 2012-13 concert season will be on sale to the public Sunday, August 19. DSO subscribers will be offered a pre-sale on single tickets beginning Monday, August 6. Single tickets for the 2012-13 season start at just $10.

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s 2012-2013 Texas Instruments Classical Series begins September 13-16, 2012 and concludes May 23-25, 2013 at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Highlights include popular orchestra showpieces Pines of Rome, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and Carmina Burana; admired soloists Hilary Hahn, Yefim Bronfman, Nicola Benedetti and DSO concertmaster Alexander Kerr; and a two-week Mozart Festival conducted by Jaap van Zweden.

The DSO’s Pops Series begins October 5-7, 2012 with Warner Bros. Presents Bugs Bunny at the Symphony. The DSO’s Live at the Meyerson, Holidays at the DSO and Special Concerts and Events are also on sale and include performances by Dennis DeYoung: Music of Styx with the DSO, Rufus Wainwright, Michael W.
