With a new spin on a Christmas classic, Pentatonix, the winner of the third season of NBC’s "The Sing-Off," released its latest music video on YouTube last week. “Mary, Did You Know?” is one of 11 tracks on the a capella group’s new Christmas album, “That’s Christmas to Me.” The album debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The performance, which was posted Nov. 11, has been viewed more than 3 million times.

One of the highlights for listeners was a solo by beatboxer Kevin Olusola, who rarely sings lyrics in the group's videos. Olusola will perform later this month in Utah at the Celebration of Christ concert, along with David Archuleta and One Voice Children’s Choir.

YouTube users have voiced their approval of the video, with "goosebumps" and "chills" being common reactions.

“This gave me goosebumps! Absolutely beautiful rendition of this classic song,” Erin Lee wrote. “... This will definitely be in this year’s Christmas playlist. Merry Christmas and God bless you.”

YouTube user Jens Jeppesen shared similar sentiments.

“Got them chills crawling up and down my spine,” Jeppesen wrote. “Love this song and love it even more after this version. You guys are awesome.”

Even those who wouldn’t normally listen to spiritual songs confessed to feeling the power of the performance.

“I’m not one to normally be drawn to religious-based things, but, wow, this song had a certain magnanimity to it,” Austin Minx posted. “Gave me goosebumps!”
