Thirty Seconds To Mars Electrifies Denver

October 12, 2013

When Thirty Seconds to Mars took the stage, the energy in the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado was already at a tangible high. Openers, New Politics, were nothing short of amazing. They brought their unique blend of energy, break dancing and Denmark charm and harnessed the attention of every person in the building.

From the moment Thirty Seconds to Mars began performing, front man Jared Leto directed the audience like an expert maestro. Walking to the microphone he controlled the screams with the raising of his arms, had everyone chanting “This Is War” to intro the song and subdued everyone into a hypnotic hush with the lyrics “I punish you with pleasure and pleasure you with pain” from 'End Of All Days' off their newly released album Love Lust Faith + Dreams.

Exercising his veteran artistry, Jared expertly transitioned into an acoustic set, still holding the energy that had been in the building all night. He asked the crowd what they wanted to hear and played a mix of older songs and interjected newer material off their current album. The entire band took the stage again for an explosive final song. The audience jumped, sang along, arms swaying as confetti rained down.

Whether you have been to their show before, seen clips on Youtube or this was your first experience with the band, this show did not disappoint!
