Return to Lee DeWyze

‘American Idol’ winner performs at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

December 15, 2017

Fans of the FOX smash-hit singing competition "American Idol" might recognize Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's Friday evening performer: season nine champion Lee DeWyze — but the artist truly emerged onto the scene with "Blackbird Song," which he wrote for AMC's "The Walking Dead" (in 2014, the Musicians Guild of America noted the song as one of the top 10 most influential syncs of the year).

DeWyze is no stranger to having his work featured on small and big screens alike.

"Lee released the single 'Weight' in December of 2016, which was featured in the season finale of CBS' 'Elementary.' Originally written for the feature 'Collateral Beauty,' this song was a turning point in Lee's writing career," states his online biography.

The singer is also set to debut his newest album, "Paranoia," in early 2018.

"'Paranoia' is Lee's seventh studio album to date and first full-length set of new music since 2016's 'Oil & Water,'" continues the bio.

"When not in his studio writing, Lee is consistently touring the U.S., performing over 100 shows per year for the past four years. He has most recently opened for Lady Antebellum, and also performed at The Sundance Film Festival, The Grammy Foundation, MusiCares and SXSW."

Don't miss DeWyze, who performs at the Stateline venue on Friday, Dec. 15, at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets, available at http://www.hardrockcasinolaketahoe.com (along with additional information), cost $20. Guests must be at least 21 years of age in order to attend.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino is located at 50 U.S. 50.
