James Durbin began 2011 with dreams of a career in music. The year culminated with a successful debut album, Memories of a Beautiful Disaster, following his fourth-place finish in American Idol and a New Year's Eve marriage to his girlfriend and pillar of support, Heidi Lowe.

Despite the heavy metal image that Durbin portrayed during his run as one of the Idol's frontrunners, Memories showcases his vocal abilities and provides a range of hard rock hits. Durbin co-wrote five of the album's tracks with contributions from Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe), James Michael (Sixx A.M.) and Marti Frederickson (Aerosmith, Buck Cherry, Ozzy) amongst other notable talents. 'Stand Up' has impacted Madison's WJJO hard rock radio while 'Right Behind You' is another strong track.

Durbin will be performing headline shows at The Fuel Room at Austin's in Libertyville, IL and The Rave in Milwaukee on January 27th and 28th, respectively. New Medicine are opening both shows and tickets can be had for as little as $15 (Austin's) or $24 (The Rave).
