James Durbin is a Married Man!

Season 10’s James Durbin married his fiancé, Heidi Lowe, on New Year’s Eve in their hometown of Santa Cruz, California. The couple’s 2-year-old son, Hunter, was present and served as the ceremony’s ring bearer.

The Durbins told People Magazine, “We are so in love and happy that we got to share our special day with our closest family and friends…The wedding was the perfect way to kick off the New Year. We are looking forward to living happily ever after.”

James joined Geoff Tate of metal band Queensrÿche to perform “Take Hold of the Flame,” a Queensrÿche song that means a lot to the couple. The Idol’s Season 10 pals Stefano Langone, Casey Abrams, and Haley Reinhart were among the 85 guests in attendance at the tiny chapel in the Redwood forest. Stefano tweeted, “Beautiful wedding! Just ended now and were on our way to the reception! Owww party on! 2012 baby it's gunna be the best year of our lives!!!” and Casey tweeted, “@durbinrock it kicked ass. thanks for the invite bro. Happy for you and Heidi. the COOLEST wedding. Loved the moment both of you walked in.”

James, who released his debut album, Memories of a Beautiful Disaster, this fall, will appear on the TV show NY Ink this Thursday, January 5. The next day, Friday, January 6, James turns 23 years old! Then, on Wednesday, January 11, Memories of a Beautiful Disaster will be featured as Amazon’s mp3 daily deal.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Durbin!
