CHEVELLE PUT THEIR THINKING CAPS ON FOR THE FINISHING TOUCHES OF THEIR NEW CD SLATED FOR SEPTEMBER 21 RELEASE

“VITAMIN R (LEADING US ALONG)” NABS #1 MOST ADDED SONG AT RADIO THIS WEEK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE –August 5, 2004 – LOS ANGELES, CA –
Platinum-plus rockers Chevelle have finished the mixing of their forthcoming cd This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In which is slated for a September 21 release. This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In is their third release and was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Incubus, Three Day’s Grace, Puddle of Mudd) and Chevelle. “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)” has been chosen as the first single and hit Modern Rock, Active Rock and Mainstream Rock stations this week and was the #1 most added at all formats garnering over 100 adds.

After the phenomenal success of their 2002 Epic Records release Wonder What’s Next, the brothers of Chevelle, Sam, Pete and Joe kept focused and continued to write and produce new tunes for This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In . Lead vocalist & guitarist Pete Loeffler recently commented on This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In to Guitar World magazine “It’s heavier than our old stuff, but still melodic.” Wonder What’s Next has reached 1.2 million in sales and featured 3 multi-format hit singles including the bands first number one song on both the Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts in Billboard with “Send The Pain Below.” “The Red,” which dominated the charts for over a year, and “Closure” also reached the Top 5 on the Billboard Modern Rock & Alternative charts. Chevelle was also one of the Top 10 most played artists at Alternative, Active & Mainstream Rock radio for all of 2003. In addition, Chevelle released their live cd Live From the Road & DVD Live From The Norva late last year and have lent their talents to The Osbourne Family Album, The Punisher & Daredevil movie soundtracks and the forthcoming Madden NFL 2005 game.

In preparation for the release of This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In, Sam, Pete & Joe will shoot the video for “Vitamin R (Leading Us Along)” in the next two weeks and will announce dates for a full scale tour shortly thereafter. For up to date info on the band please visit
