Return to David Archuleta

David Archuleta brings an American Idol like performance to the Beachland Ballroom.

April 4, 2019 Author Bill Bailey

David Archuleta was American Idol’s season seven runner-up. He put on an amazing performance at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio.
He came out and opened with one of his newer songs ‘Waiting in the Stars’ which was beautiful and a great way to open the show.

He then goes on to perform one of his classics ‘A Little Too Not Over You’ which had my family and I going wild. ‘ALTNOY’ was first performed on December 11, 2008 at Kiss 108’s Jingle Ball 2008 and it was on the self-titled debut album that was released in 2008.

David then goes on to perform ‘Up All Night’, ‘Spotlight Down’, and ‘Postcards in the Sky’ from his latest pop album ‘Postcards in the Sky’. He then gets the fans teary-eyed with ‘Waiting for Yesterday’, another oldie but goody. He goes on to sing a new original song called ‘Paralyzed’, which was so exquisite I felt it in my heart.

Archuleta then went on and did some acoustic songs with his band. He even did one of my favorites, ‘Shallow’, from the movie A Star Is Born by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. I wanted to go up and perform the duet with him so bad.

He then tells us about a mission trip he took for two years in Chile and how it changed his life which was very inspiring. He then performs a song called ‘Numb’, in which is very personal to him and how he just wanted to write what he wanted to write and let a song say something about him.

He then gets the crowd bumpin’ with ‘Touch My Hand’, another smash hit that’s a classic. He continues the show with a medley of his song ‘Glorious’ and Lauren Daigle’s ‘You Say’, in which I was so very excited about since it is another one of my favorites.

David then asks us if he can change the language for a minute and goes into “Nunca Pense’ which translates to Never Think and it was absolutely beautiful. His vocals are so insane! He then does ‘Invincible’ which was mashed with ‘Happier’ by Bastille, so it became like a sick remix. Archie then ends the show with his number one song ‘Crush’, which was outstanding as well.
