THE ALARM'S PETERS FIGHTS BACK, MARCHES ON!

The Alarm founder/frontman Mike Peters is a two-time cancer survivor, and those battles fueled the urgency of the songs found on the current Guerilla Tactics, an album that is anything but covert: it is decidedly overt, in-your-face rock and roll, from beginning to end. "Being diagnosed with leukemia was a big driving force behind this record," Peters declares, "but it was in the post-diagnosis that this record took shape. It was in the area of recovery and reclaiming my life back. I needed to fight back and I needed an uptempo
soundtrack and that's where the song back from for Guerilla Tactics." When asked when he first was inspired to play rock and roll, Peters, without a second of hesitation, fired back, "October 1976 I saw the Sex Pistols. I stood right in front of Johnny Rotten - it woke something in me really important, they made you unafraid to have a go at being in a band and I'm forever grateful for that."
