American Idol Concert Review 2015

Parker Playhouse
Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Last night, concert goers were to treated to a very special evening at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale. The Top 5 American Idol Finalists were featured in grand style for a performance that will remain in the hearts and minds of those in attendance.

The first to take the stage was Idol runner-up Joey Cook. Although she finished in seventh place this past season, she certainly deserves to be on stage with the Top 5. A sweet voice with a very unique, old-time sound to it, Cook sang "Pretty Please", "Fancy", and "Sweet Pea". The performances were spot-on and well received by the audience. Cook's performance was accompanied by her trusted ukulele and was paired beautifully together.I hope to see more of her in the future.

At once, the Top 5 took to the stage and opened the show with a rousing performance of Lenny Kravitz's "Are You Gonna Come My Way". The audience was immediately brought to their feet and began to dance and move to the rock rhythm of the drums and electric guitar. The lighting was super impressive and the choreography between the music and lighting were incredible.

As the evening progressed, each Idol performer, Nick Fradiani, Jax, Tyanna Jones, Rayvon Owen, and Clark Beckham each gave a brief history of themselves and the journey they took on American Idol. Individually they gave a great performance, as well as a group.

It is very easy to see that there are no egos present with this group of talented entertainers. The relationships they have built through their time together on American Idol has translated to the road as well. There is no stopping them and it will be no surprise to hear their names on the music charts in the very near future.
