Return to 5th Harmony

Concert Review: Fifth Harmony: Fifth Times A Charm Tour

Fifth Harmony brought their show to the House of Blues in Chicago this past week much to the delight of the groups' fans who call themselves "Harmonizers." The Fifth Times A Charm Tour is their first headlining tour of their career. I had the chance to meet Fifth Harmony before their show and it is obvious that they are genuinely having a great time on this journey together.

Fifth Harmony opened the show with their single "Me & My Girls." They performed in front of their simple black backdrop with a giant glittery diamond below the group's name. The girls were wearing white but all with their own individual style to each outfit. They sang through their entire debut EP, "Better Together" and at one point they serenaded a lucky male fan from the audience. It is apparent that they really love their fans and love crowd participation.

The girls then took multiple selfies with the audience for their keepsake. At one point they had a competition to see which side of the crowd was louder before doing some covers of their favorite songs. They began with "Independent Woman" sung originally by Destiny's Child and the crowd went wild singing along to every word. They also sang the #1 song in the country "All Of Me" by John Legend before closing the covers with "Rude" sung by Magic!.

The crowd started chanting FIFTH HARMONY while the ladies were all in complete awe each looking out into the audience, blowing kisses and touching hands. Immediately after they began their next song "Dance Alone" before they left the stage. Again, the crowd started chanting ENCORE and the girls reappear to sing their hit single, "Miss Movin' On" which has just received a Gold RIAA certification. Fifth Harmony closed the the show with a snippet of their new single "Bo$$y" which hits iTunes on July 7, 2014.

All and all, Fifth Harmony are five girls all with powerhouse voices that can really entertain. Ally, Dinah, Normani, Lauren, and Camila each bring their own flare to the group which makes them unique. The girls will finish the tour this summer and immediately after they will be opening for Austin Mahone's tour which kicks off late summer/early fall. Fifth Harmony's debut full album will also be released later on this year so stay tuned. Until next time it's Nick Gallo, Gallo The Guy You Know!
