Normani Kordei and Lauren Jauregui from the pop quintet Fifth Harmony chatted about their upcoming tour stops in New York and they discussed their musical career.

Aside from Normani and Lauren, the group of female musicians is comprised of Ally Brooke, Camila Cabello and Dinah Hansen. They are signed to Syco Music and Epic Records.

The girls are on their "5th Times a Charm" North American headlining tour, which commenced on May 3 in Valdosta, Georgia.

On June 1, Fifth Harmony will be playing a 20-minute set at the NIkon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, Long Island, as part of 106.1 WBLI Summer Jam, in a line-up that includes such musical acts as Emblem3, Midnight Red, Austin Mahone and Cody Simpson. "We are excited to be a part of this show. We are going to be performing and there will a little surprise in the end which will be fun," Lauren revealed.

A few days later, on June 7, they will be performing at Citi Field in New York. "Musically, we changed a lot of the things that we did for the Radio Disney Music awards and we made it a little more different and more urban. We are using that flair and putting it to a bunch of different things. It should be really, really good," Normani said.

Fifth Harmony shared the stage with pop superstar Demi Lovato and they opened for her on her "Neon Lights" tour. "It was an amazing experience since we got to hang out with the girls and with Demi, and we got to perform in arenas in front of thousands of people which was great. We learned a lot and we great as touring artists," Lauren said.

On July 25, they will embark on a tour with teen pop mega-star Austin Mahone on his summer tour. "It's going to be really, really fun. Austin is a good kid and he's really sweet and we are excited to go on tour with him and hopefully, show our new material," Normani said.

At the Radio Disney Music awards, which took place on April 26, Fifth Harmony emerged as big winners, where they swept both categories they were nominated for, which included "Breakout Artist" and "Best Song To Rock Out To With Your BFF." "That felt amazing since that was our first actual award that we won. To be able to stand up and receive an award in person and give an acceptance speech was pretty crazy. We hope there are a bunch more to come in the future, at least that is what we are aiming for," Normani shared.

The girls noted that they stay connected with their fans through their social networks, which include Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, as well as through the cover songs they previously did.

Lauren hinted that their forthcoming full-length album is "more mature than their EP" and "a lot cooler" than what they did for the EP. "We were working really hard in the studio to get a sound going and a vibe," she said. "It is more who we are now, as opposed to before."

Normani listed Chris Brown as her dream male duet choice. "I love him so much. I think he is very talented in what he does. He is a triple threat and a hard worker," she explained.

Lauren selected Matthew Healey, the lead singer of the rock band The 1975. "Matthew is so incredibly talented and writing with him would be really cool since he has a cool mind," she said.

They concluded our interview by expressing their gratitude towards their fans. "We love the fans so much. Thanks for always standing by us from day one. We will not disappoint you guys. Be ready for what is to come."
